Alghero Jeep Safari

Claudio met us on the quayside from a cruise ship, we had explained that we wanted to get away from the usual tourist spots and see the "real Sardinia" and have a bit of a walk. He was very knowledgable and took us to some lovely out of the way places. We had...

One of the best ways of seeing what the island has to offer is to take an "off road" tour

“…..one of the best ways of seeing what the island has to offer is to hire a car, walk or to take an "off road" tour. A local young man, named Claudio Desiati, has started a business here in Alghero, offering walking, trekking and nature trail trips, or guided,...

I'm sure you will have a fabulous time with him

“I'm sure you will have a fabulous time with him, he was so knowledgeable for someone as young as he; his love for his homeland was most impressive. Have a wonderful cruise! Marian”

Guided Hike with Sardinian Discovery

Short but for good trekker !

A seemingly easy trip because of the shortness of the route, an actual walk of only three and a half hours, but which is actually quite tiring because of the lack of a proper path.

From high up on Monte Pegna, a sheer headland jutting out of the sea and with a tower bearing the same name, you can enjoy a breathtaking view:  Capo Caccia, the bay of Porto Conte, the Prigionette forest,  Monte Timidone and Punta Cristallo. It is sometimes possible to encounter deer originating from the nearby nature reserve or catch sight of some Griffin vultures.

On the return journey we can stop for a swim in the nearby Cala Dragunara.
