Gallura: a trip to Capo Testa and Valle della Luna.

Definitely the most beautiful of the Galluran trips: you can walk up and down the hills, across the valleys and small bays and amongst the granite dipped in Mediterranean scrub. During the trip we pass through the famous Valle della Luna, where hippies still live in some of the grottoes. In the valley you can see an ancient granite cave going back to the Roman invasion and on the return road, on the beaches of Capo Testa, some roman columns made from the granite of the nearby caves. The trip is a little bit challenging in as much as there isn ' t a real road and on some stretches you have to walk over granite masses. However, the effort is rewarded with truly magnificent scenery.
