Alghero: trip on Monte Timidone and "Arca Di Noe" (Noah 's Ark).

Monte Timidone is located inside the Prigionette Forest, also known as “ Noah ' s Ark ” because of the presence of animals introduced a few decades ago. The ascent up the mountain is a bit tiring but is rewarded with breathtaking views: from the mountain summit you can admire the Bay of Porte Conte and the north west coast, i.e. Porticciolo and Porto Ferro. With a bit of luck you may come across some white donkeys, horses, fallow deers, turtles and maybe catch sight of some Griffin vultures. On the return road we stop over in the splendid Cala della Barca which is situated between Monte Pegna (with the Monte Pegna tower) and Punta Cristallo, where some pairs of Griffins nest.
